Powertrack Scalper Achieves Efficient Screening of Iron Ore

Project Overview

This project is located at a port. The average particle size of the iron ore here is rather complex. It is necessary to separate out three different particle sizes.Due to the high density of the iron ore, ordinary screening machines cannot lift the raw materials, often resulting in the presence of 0-5mm products mixed in the 8-15mm specification. Therefore, the customer has extremely high requirements for the screening performance of the equipment.

While ensuring high production output, it also puts forward high requirements for the environmental dust removal performance of the equipment.

After thorough consideration and argumentation, the customer finally chose the solution of adding a Powertrack mobile scalping screening unit behind the original screening machine.

Powertrack mobile scalper SP-08D can move autonomously in the complex road conditions of the port, reducing the loading machine's operation for transporting materials.

The double-layer heavy-duty screening technology of the scalper is a major highlight of this project. The amplitude of the Powertrack SP-08D is as high as 15 mm, which is larger than that of ordinary screening machines (whose amplitude is usually 8 mm). Heavy materials can fully bounce on the screen, effectively screening out iron ore smaller than 8 mm, reducing subsequent repeated crushing and lowering production costs.

The upper and lower layers of the double-layer have the same screening area, which can reach 7.4 square meters each, significantly improving the overall screening efficiency.

The equipment is also equipped with a spray device to ensure a more friendly screening environment and achieve a win-win situation of economic benefits and environmental benefits.

At the port site, Powertrack dual-power scalper is powered by the onboard diesel generator. Compared to traditional diesel hydraulic-driven models, the fuel consumption is reduced by approximately 40%.

When the power supply conditions are met, the scalper can also be driven by external grid power, the operating costs can be further reduced.


Customer feedback

The iron ore raw materials are heavy and have a high moisture content. Powertrack dual power scalper can effectively separate the materials of three different particle sizes, reducing the subsequent production costs.
